South African-born artist EazySounds B is back with his experimental house EP, Motsadi a six-track collection that blends heartfelt storytelling with his signature House and Gospel sound.
This EP delves into the personal experiences that have shaped his music and his life, touching on themes of loss, self-discovery, and resilience. The EP opens with “Motsadi (Parent), a deeply emotional track that honours B’s late mother. The song recounts the tragic event of her sudden passing after visiting a friend, capturing the sorrow and longing that accompanies the loss of a loved one.
“My mother was coming home from church prayers when a friend invited her to have a drink (Tea) with her at her house. That night my mother was sick and vomiting , we took her to the hospital and afterwards she died. They declared her death as natural causes. To date I still miss her very much especially when I pass the house that she was invited to” reflects Eazysounds B.
In “Buang (Talk), – The first single from the EP – EazySounds B reflects on the discouragement he faced early in his music career, encouraging listeners to ignore negative comments and trust in themselves. He shifts the mood with “Bina (Dance), a vibrant and upbeat track that expresses his desire for people to embrace joy and dance, even in the face of adversity.
In “Keabona (I See), EazySounds B acknowledges his growth as an artist, realizing that the beats he once created now connect with fans in ways he never imagined.
The title track, “Kelebogile (Thank You), is a spiritual song of gratitude, where EazySounds B thanks God for providing him with the strength to continue pursuing music despite the challenges he’s faced.
The EP closes with “Tsoga (Wake Up), an empowering anthem that encourages listeners to rise up, take action, and work toward a better life.
